Make your mark: A campaign in motion
Now more than ever, we need to act boldly and reach across disciplines to find solutions to humanity’s greatest challenges. You can make your mark today by supporting the students, researchers and innovators at McGill who are leading the way to a better future.

Acting with renewed focus and urgency, we have extended our campaign to address global challenges through education, research and innovation.
In 2019, on the cusp of McGill’s bicentennial, we came to you with a call to forge a better future as part of Made by McGill: the Campaign for Our Third Century. And you answered in greater numbers than we could have ever imagined, providing more than $2 billion in vital philanthropic support to causes across the University
Now, facing a dramatically changed world, we have a responsibility to keep pushing for solutions.
Join us in this next chapter as we extend our fundraising goal to $3 billion, and renew our commitment to providing equitable access to a world-class education, training tomorrow’s leaders and fueling breakthroughs to benefit us all.
Make your mark is a rallying cry to all those who want to be part of a new era of impact at McGill. And it is a powerful reminder that, when we work together, each one of us is capable of making a difference in the world.
Facing a new reality
The world has changed dramatically in the last few years. The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the fragility of our systems, forcing us to rethink how we function as a society. Global conflicts and rampant disinformation have undermined peace and democracy. Record heat and extreme weather events have reminded us of the immediacy and human toll of the climate crisis. And the rise of powerful artificial intelligence tools has changed how we interact with the world.
To meet these challenges, the world needs deep expertise and large-scale collaboration across disciplines.

Rising to the challenge
In times of upheaval, great research universities like McGill have a vital role to play as the engines of scientific and social progress. As innovators, researchers and educators, we have a duty to not only adapt to the shifting world around us but to harness the momentum generated by these shifts and prepare the next generation of leaders.
McGill consistently places among the top universities in national and international rankings – and as a leading global voice, we have a responsibility to act with a renewed sense of urgency.
