Your support will help increase the accessibility of a Desautels education, strengthen our whole-person approach to student success, and provide comprehensive student support by funding:
- Scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students, which will improve access to education for underserved communities
- Experiential learning through internships, exchanges, case competitions and hands-on research opportunities
Transforming healthcare management
We recently launched the Transforming Healthcare Management in Canada initiative, funded by donors. Ultimately, we aim to reduce ER and surgery wait times and increase access to family doctors in Quebec and Canada.

Championing environmental and economic sustainability
Based at Desautels, the Sustainable Growth Initiative (SGI) is a cross-faculty venture that mobilizes academics, students, industry leaders and policy makers to build actionable solutions that businesses can use to successfully transition to a sustainable economy.
By helping us expand the SGI, you can provide more opportunities to engage faculty, students and partners in the sustainability transition.
Strengthening entrepreneurship & retail innovation
In addition to our world-leading Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship and innovative Bensadoun School of Retail Management (BSRM), Desautels recently established an Entrepreneurship & Innovation Initiative with the goal of promoting entrepreneurial mindsets and competencies.
Your support will:
- Help launch the School of Entrepreneurship – the first of its kind in Canada – which would give students from all disciplines the opportunity to develop entrepreneurship knowledge and experience
- Raise the BSRM’s DataSphere Lab initiative to the next level and help us adapt and lead innovations in a rapidly changing retail environment
- Allow Desautels to establish a new Office of Disruption Management to strengthen the Managing Disruption: Analytics, Advanced Digital Technologies and AI Initiative and harness business opportunities that arise from new technologies and other unforeseen disruptions of the future

Advancing equity and inclusion
The Laidley Centre for Business Ethics and Equity and the Lester J. Fernandes Chair in Ethical Leadership promote ethical decision-making and management practices.
With your support, Desautels will further its efforts to advance ethics and equity by:
- Establishing a pilot project to expand recruitment into the Bachelor of Commerce program using qualitative indicators of excellence that complement grade point averages
- Developing online modules and micro-credentials on ethics and equity in business for alumni and the global community
The Desautels Opportunities Fund
